Flags ordered at half-staff in Adams County

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels has directed that flags in Adams County be lowered to half-staff on Tuesday in honor of the late Spc. Nicholas A. Taylor.

Taylor died July 16 in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. His funeral is Tuesday.

The city of Berne issued the following statement Monday:

Mayor (Bill) McKean has ordered flags at all city facilities to remain at half staff until sunset Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in honor of Spc. Nick Taylor, killed in action in Kandahar Afghanistan on July 16, 2012.
