Ex-TinCap Hernandez to debut in Boston tonight

Hernandez

Former Fort Wayne TinCap Pedro Hernandez is to make his major-league debut for the Chicago White Sox in Boston tonight.

Hernandez was traded from San Diego to the White Sox on New Year's Eve as part of the deal that brought outfielder Carlos Quentin to the Padres. Former TinCap pitcher Simon Castro also went to Chicago in that trade.

In 2010, Hernandez was 4-3 for Fort Wayne with a 4.04 ERA. He split time between the starting rotation and the bullpen.
