Larry King premieres Web show


Larry King is returning as a talk show host this week, with his new home the Internet.

King’s first guest on “Larry King Now” was comic producer Seth MacFarlane of “Family Guy” and “Ted.” Other guests scheduled for this week are political commentator Meghan McCain and “Magic Mike” actor Matthew McConaughey.

Episodes will be posted on the Hulu website in the early evening Monday through Thursday.

Boy band to reunite

ABC’s “Good Morning America” will host Kevin Richardson’s reunion performance with the Backstreet Boys. The quartet will appear on the morning show’s summer concert series Aug. 31 in Central Park.

Richardson announced he was leaving the group in 2006, but has appeared in the lineup occasionally since.

A statement says he is with Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and AJ McLean in a London studio working on a new album.

Sheen on ‘Idol’?

Could Charlie Sheen be a judge on “American Idol”? The actor says he’s game.

In an interview Tuesday on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, Sheen said “Idol” producer Nigel Lythgoe publicly threw his name out there as a possible judge and the idea piqued people’s interest – including his own.

Other names that have been kicked around as possible replacements include Mariah Carey and former “Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert.

Heading to Alaska

It’s official. Pitbull will be coming to Alaska.

Over the last few weeks, Walmart has been running a marketing contest on its Facebook page. The store that gets the most “likes” wins a personal appearance from Pitbull.

A writer for the Boston Phoenix newspaper thought it’d be funny to send Pitbull to the most remote Walmart possible, and encouraged people to “like” the Walmart in Kodiak. It worked, with the store getting more than 70,000 “likes.”
