Heart attack killed Griffith, record says

The death certificate for Andy Griffith says the actor’s death this week was caused by a heart attack.

The certificate says the 86-year-old had suffered the attack 24 hours before he died at 7 a.m. Tuesday. It also says he had suffered for years from other illnesses, including coronary artery disease, hypertension and hyperlipidemia, which can be a form of high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Griffith’s death certificate was filed Thursday with the vital records office in Dare County, N.C. It says he’s buried in the Griffith Family Cemetery in Manteo.

Web series due

Jerry Seinfeld is going back on the road.

The comedian announced Thursday that he’ll debut the Web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” on July 19. The interview show will feature Seinfeld’s comedian friends as guests.

In a teaser video, Seinfeld is shown driving vintage cars with Larry David, Ricky Gervais, Michael Richards, Alec Baldwin and others.

The show is presented by Crackle, the digital network owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Babies on way

Matthew McConaughey and his wife aren’t just newlyweds, they’re also expecting.

McConaughey’s representative confirmed that his wife is pregnant with the couple’s third child. Both the actor and his bride tweeted the news on Wednesday.

“Happy birthday America, more good news, Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child,” the actor wrote, “God bless, just keep livin.”

The baby will join a son named Levi, who turns 4 this week, and 2-year-old daughter Vida.

McConaughey, 42, wed 29-year-old Brazilian-born Camila Alves last month in a ceremony at their Austin, Texas, home.

Camila McConaughey, as she is now known, is a handbag designer and model.

Claire Danes has some busy months ahead: Not only is her hit TV series “Homeland” returning for its second season in September, but she’s pregnant as well.

Danes’ spokesperson, Jodi Gottlieb, confirms the actress is expecting her first child with her husband, actor Hugh Dancy.
