Game 2 coverage central

WICHITA, Kan. -- The Komets are halfway to winning the President's Cup finals, thanks to their 6-3 victory over the Wichita Thunder on Sunday.

To watch the whole game, and see postgame interviews, in less than six minutes: Watch this video.

I missed the spectacular first professional goal of Daniel Maggio, but at the 35-second mark of this video, you can see it well. There are also some interviews with the Thunder there. (By the way, can someone in Wichita please learn the proper pronounciations of Chris Auger and anyone of the Frankes?)

Remember when Wichita's Alex Bourret took that nasty hit in Game 1, a 5-3 Komets victory, then lay on the ice motionless for five minutes, only to miss one shift? According to the Wichita Eagle, he has a concussion and a broken rib. Seems doubtful, were he to have a concussion, that he would have been back so quickly.

I guess there's also some talk, according to the Eagle, that Adam Russo has a concussion -- click here -- but I find that even more difficult to believe. I don't recall him taking any particular hit and he wasn't pulled until after he gave up his fourth goal Sunday.

As for Komets goalie Nick Boucher, who has looked superb in the series, click here for my story on him.

Remember how everyone was complaining about the 2-3-2 format in the last round? How do you think Wichita feels now?
