Unusual numbers
Six. Thats the number of days we have already hit 50 degrees this year.
Six times!
Lets put that in perspective. Last year (not an unusually cold winter), we hit 50 for the second time on Feb. 17.
January ended up being about five degrees above normal, and so far (its early, I know), February is about 15 degrees above normal.
Perhaps more unbelievable: There is no sign of an arctic blast in our near future. Surely we will have to pay a price for this mild run at some point, right? Well, dont hold your breath.
Weather wise: Another really weird thing about this winter has been the snowfall.
Weve actually had 25.6 inches of snow, but since most of it has melted almost immediately, it hasnt seemed like a snowy winter.
