Indiana 8 reopens after accident

Indiana 8 between Noble County Road 1150 East and DeKalb County Road 3 reopened just before 11 a.m. Saturday, after a two-vehicle accident forced police to close it, Indiana State Police said.

Police reported the accident just after 8:30 Saturday morning. One of the two vehicles involved is a semi-tractor trailer that has jack-knifed on Indiana 8.

The road was opened again for traffic about 10:50 a.m., police said.

A winter weather advisory for Allen, DeKalb, Kosciusko, Noble and Whitley counties called for 3 to 5 inches of snow with localized heavy accumulations of 6 to 7 inches possible, the Bational Weather Service said.
