1 charged in quick-stop robbery

A 22-year-old man accused of holding up a Fort Wayne gas station in August has been charged with robbery.

Joshua R. Klinski of New Haven came into the Meijer gas station at 10305 Maysville Road the morning of Aug. 31, and demanded money from a clerk, according to court records filed Tuesday.

“I have no mask on and nothing to lose, gimme all the money starting with the big bills,” Klinski reportedly said.

The clerk handed over $209, and Klinski, who had not displayed a weapon, pocketed the cash and left, court records stated.

A Fort Wayne police officer saw a surveillance image of the robber on the news and recognized the man as Klinski, court records said.

Klinski, who has a warrant for his arrest, was not in custody Wednesday at the Allen County Jail.
