Robber takes drugs from grocery's pharmacy

A robber walked into the Scott’s store at 4120 N. Clinton St. on Monday morning and demanded a prescription drug.

Opana is a painkiller using oxymorphone, according to the FDA website.

The man, described as being in his middle 20s, walked into the store shortly after 10:30 a.m. and gave a pharmacy employee a note demanding the drug and indicating he had a weapon.

The robber took the drugs and left in a silver, four-door vehicle that was missing its license plate, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Fort Wayne Police Department or CrimeStoppers at 436-7867.
