The contract of Jarrid Famous, the Mad Ants' 6-foot-11 center who came to the team from a trade with Iowa, has been bought out by a team in South Korea, Ants president Jeff Potter confirmed.
Famous played eight games for the Ants and started seven. He averaged 11.1 points and 8.5 rebounds, including a 20-rebound game in a Jan. 17 loss to Dakota.
Mike Tisdale, a 7-1 center who played at Illinois and was acquired to replace the injured Famous, will likely remain with the team. In three games, Tisdale has averaged 12 points and 5.7 rebounds.
The Ants will play two games at Memorial Coliseum against Maine Thursday and Friday, at 7 and 7:30 p.m.
