Steuben drug probe snares 7; pair sought

A 10-month investigation resulted in the arrests of seven people Thursday on various felony drug charges.

Steuben County sheriff's deputies and Angola police rounded up the seven. Two other suspects remained at large.

Arrested were:

  • Warren T. Halls III, 33, of Angola, dealing meth within 1,000 feet of a public park;
  • Shelly L. Gibbeny, 46, of Angola, dealing cocaine;
  • Robert W. Baldwin, 47, of Angola, two counts of dealing cocaine;
  • Dustin W. Vanwagner, 29, of Angola, three felony counts of dealing a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of dealing marijuana;
  • Kacy R. Wheeler, 21, of Angola, dealing a look-alike substance;
  • Brian E. Villano, 27, already at the jail on unrelated charges, faces a count of dealing a look-alike substance;
  • James A. Scott, 34, who was also at the jail on unrelated charges, was charged with two counts of dealing meth.
