Confused allegiance

During a legislative committee hearing Thursday about a dispute between Kelley Chevrolet and DeHaven's Summit City Chevrolet, the allegiances in the room weren't always clear.

While Rep. Phil GiaQuinta, D-Fort Wayne, was carrying a bill to help Kelley - and ultimately possibly hurt DeHaven - he conceded he bought his last two SUVs at the Summit City dealership.

Then the attorney representting DeHaven admitted that he buys his cars at Kelley.

"No one's a bad guy here," said lawyer David Bailey.
