FREMONT, Ohio – The State Highway Patrol says a tractor-trailer rig veered into a work zone on the Ohio Turnpike, killing a maintenance worker and seriously injuring two others and the truck driver.

The patrol said Forest Fletcher, 53, of Perrysburg died in the crash Tuesday morning near Fremont. Two other highway workers and the truck driver were flown to hospitals with serious injuries.

Police say workers were outside their vehicles conducting bridge repairs about 30 miles southeast of Toledo when they were hit.
