Parkview Field No. 1

Parkview Field, the home of the single-A TinCaps, was ranked as the No. 1 minor league baseball ballpark and the 13th best venue in all of professional sports by Stadium Journey, a sports travel publication and website.

In its recent Best of 2011 edition, Stadium Journey rated its Top 100 sporting venues.

“It’s an honor to be recognized in this way,” TinCaps president Mike Nutter said in a statement.

“To be listed as the No. 13 overall venue … is a testament to the quality of Parkview Field and the way this community has embraced the ballpark.”

Paul Swaney, editor and co-founder of Stadium Journey, said Parkview Field set the standard for minor league parks.

“The apple theme throughout the ballpark, and being located in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne, created a complete thematic experience and the perfect way for the team and the ballpark to be a part of the community,” Swaney said.
