The Mad Ants can't seem to catch a break.
With leading scorer Ron Howard sitting out Tuesday night's game against Dakota, the Ants lost to the Wizards 108-100 at Memorial Coliseum.
To compound the short bench, the Ants lost reserve forward Ramon Harris midway through the second quarter when he fell to the floor after being fouled. He was helped off the floor and did not return to the game, and spent some of the second half on the Ants' bench.
Harris was diagnosed with a concussion, and his availability for the Ants' upcoming five-game road trip that begins Friday is uncertain.
Howard will be out an expected two weeks with a fractured thumb on his right, shooting hand.
Even though the Ants still had three players on the bench, they didn't play much. Back-up point guard Tory Jackson played seven minutes, center Sean Sonderleiter played 15 and guard Sadiel Rojas played nearly 18 minutes.
There were some solid individual efforts. Center Jarrid Famous had 15 points and 20 rebounds (although he was 5 of 17 from the floor), and point guard Walker Russell Jr. had 18 points and 16 assists.
Rookie guard Cam Jones led the Ants with 24 points, and forward Darnell Lazare had 21.
