You can officially start the Jim Caldwell Death Watch now.

This upon the news that the Colts have hired Ryan Grigson, the director of player personnel for the Philadelphia Eagles, as their new GM. Soon to follow, presumably: Caldwell gets The Call, as in "Mr. Grigson will see you now. Oh, and bring your playbook."

One aside here: Here's hoping Grigson does a better job of rebuilding the Colts than he did putting together the Eagles this year. The Dream Team turned out not to be as dreamy as imagined, mainly because the Eagles brought in pieces that looked great on paper but didn't work out so well on the field. Right players, perhaps, but wrong scheme.
