Steve Gansey won his home debut as the Mad Ants head coach with a 107-98 victory over Canton on Saturday at Memorial Coliseum.
Gansey, the 26-year-old assistant under Joey Meyer, was named head coach when Meyer was released Thursday. The Ants lost at Canton Friday, but ended a three-game losing streak with the win over the Charge.
Darnell Lazare led a balanced scoring attack with 22 points, and Gilbert Brown scored 18 off the bench for the Ants (6-11). Ron Howard had 15, Cameron Jones and Walker Russell Jr. had 14 each and Jarrid Famous added 12.
