Services set for slaying victims, 19

FORT WAYNE – Calling and funeral services have been scheduled for two 19-year-old Northrop High School graduates who were slain this weekend by a man who then killed himself.

The funeral service for Ryann A. Tipton is at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St., with calling one hour before the service, according to his obituary.

Calling also is scheduled from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He will be buried in Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Contributions to his memory may be made to the American Heart Association.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Erin E. Jehl is at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, with calling one hour prior, according to her obituary.

Calling also is scheduled from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. She will be buried in Highland Park Cemetery.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Erin Jehl Trust Fund, care of First Source Bank.

A candlelight vigil also is planned at the high school at 7 p.m. Saturday, according to a Facebook page set up for the event.
