Damage, no injuries in north-end blaze

A fire caused heavy smoke damage to a house Saturday in north Fort Wayne, the city fire department said.

About 6:25 p.m., fire crews went to 7726 Tendall Court, near Coldwater and Cook roads, and found a table on fire in the dining room.

They put out the flames and removed the table, but smoke and heat heavily damaged the one-story house.

An adult evacuated the home without help from firefighters. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
