IPFW men even league record

IPFW ran its record in the Summit League to 1-1 with a 92-87 victory over South Dakota on Saturday at Memorial Coliseum.

The Mastodons built a 45-36 halftime lead, saw it dwindle to 86-85 then held on for the win.

Junior swingman Frank Gaines had 24 points for the Mastodons, and John Peckinpaugh had 12 points. Jason Smeathers and Michael Kibiloski had 10 points each.
