Just in time for fall, several new eateries have opened in the city.
Ivy Tech Community College, 3800 N. Anthony Blvd., will open its weekly, student-run deli today.
The menu includes sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts. When the weather gets cooler, it also will have entrées such as macaroni and cheese, fried chicken and chili.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays through November.
The deli is managed by students in the Bakery Merchandising course.
This semester, it will be named Keltys Kafe in honor of Bob Kelty, who died in August. He had retired as dean of the School of Education and Public and Social Services earlier this year, after 26 years at Ivy Tech.
Cerutis has a café in the basement of Citizens Square, 200 E. Berry St. It serves sandwiches, burgers, daily entrées, soups and salads. Hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays.
Zianos Italian Eatery will open its third location on Monday at 10520 Maysville Road in Chapel Ridge. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
Olive Twist class teaches party treats
Learn to make tasty cocktail party treats during a cooking class with Mark Carboni on Sunday at the Olive Twist.
The class runs from noon to 2 p.m.

The Olive Twist, an olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting bar, is in Covington Plaza.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Last week, it opened a second location at 1339 S. Jackson St. in Auburn.
Hours at the new store are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays to Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
Moosewood barbecue adding specials
To celebrate the start of fall, Moosewood BBQ in the Marketplace of Canterbury is offering several specials each week.
The $5 lunch entrées, which are served with one side dish, include wings, pulled pork, grilled fish tacos, smoked salmon BLT and portabella mushroom sandwich. Theyre available 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
From 5 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, enjoy all-you-can-eat tilapia or catfish with the salad bar. Or get an 8-ounce salmon with the salad bar. Both are $12.95.
On Saturdays, feast on all-you-can-eat barbecue ribs, chicken or pork for $12.95. On Sundays, get fish, ribs, chicken or pulled pork for $12.95.
Also on Sundays, seniors 60 and older can get a 20 percent discount.
Covington Bar & Grill offers weekly specials
Covington Bar & Grill in Covington Plaza has new weekly lunch and dinner specials.
Monday: Lunch is breaded tenderloin with a side ($6.99); dinner is beef and noodles over mashed potatoes ($7.99).
Tuesday: Lunch is two beef tacos with beans and rice ($5.99); dinner is stuffed meatloaf with mashed potatoes ($6.99).
Wednesday: Lunch is meatloaf sandwich with a side ($5.99); dinner is half-price wings.
Thursday: Lunch is two Coney dogs with chips ($5.99); dinner is a half-chicken with two sides ($7.99).
Friday: Lunch is a haddock sandwich with a side ($7.50); dinner is 10-ounce prime rib with two sides ($14.99).
The Saturday dinner special, which is available until 8 p.m., is all you-can-eat pollock for $8.99.
