Meth arrest made at Huntington store

Huntington police arrested a man this week after finding the makings for methamphetamine in his vehicle.

Christopher N. Lucas, 34, of rural Huntington, faces five drug charges including one misdemeanor.

Huntington police said officers were sent to Johnson Junction on West Park Drive about 11 a.m. Tuesday and found Lucas in the store. While questioning Lucas, who appeared intoxicated, police noticed meth precursors in his vehicle, including a “significant amount” of Sudafed pills, a statement said.

Police seized the Sudafed, along with Coleman fuel, batteries, filters and prescription drugs. He is charged with possession of drug precursors and possession of methamphetamine, among other counts.

Lucas’ bail was set at $18,000. He was in custody Thursday at the Huntington County Jail.
