If you really want to make Mom’s day, let her decide where to eat out for a change.

Here are some of the restaurants that will be celebrating Mother’s Day on Sunday:

•Blu City Tavern, 2787 Maplecrest Road, will have a buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will feature prime rib, roast turkey, eggs Benedict, Belgian waffles, smoked salmon, seafood Newberg, potato lasagna, pasta, bacon and sausage, salads and desserts. •The Oyster Bar, 1830 S. Calhoun St., will offer a champagne brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with smoked salmon Benedict, eggs and chorizo, omelets, steaks, seafood and chicken, plus complementary mimosas. For reservations, call 744-9490.

•Vince’s, 10460 Maysville Road, will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a special menu. Each entrée will include soup or house salad, smashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Entrées include Southern-fried tilapia, teriyaki sirloin, crab-crusted lemon sole, maple-glazed pork loin, roasted garlic filet, seared scallops, grilled chicken, panko-crusted salmon, shrimp and penne pasta, dark-meat chicken and almond-fried shrimp. •Fort Wayne Marriott, 305 E. Washington Center Road, will have a themed “Springtime in Paris” buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will feature prime rib, coq au vin, turkey, ham, seafood Mornay, ratatouille, French onion soup, seafood station, salads, breads, chocolate mousse, éclairs, peach and raspberry Melba and other desserts. •Hall’s Triangle Park, 3010 Trier Road, will serve brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the full menu is available until 9 p.m. Order the 10-ounce prime rib with two sides ($14.99) or chicken Nantucket that’s topped with shrimp and broccoli sauce and served with rice pilaf, vegetable and salad ($12.99). •Hall’s Guesthouse, 1313 W. Washington Center Road, will have two options, including a buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with roast beef, turkey, Tuscan-style chicken, Parmesan-crusted tilapia, a pasta station, salad bar, sides and vegetables and desserts. It’s $24.95, $7.95 for ages 3 to 10. The Grill restaurant will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a buffet of Ossian ham, sirloin, omelet station, bacon and sausage, biscuits and gravy, French toast, Belgian waffles, fresh fruit and desserts. •Clay’s Family Restaurant, 7815 N. Old 27 in Fremont, will have a breakfast buffet from 8 to 11:30 a.m. It’s $7.59 for adults, 70 cents per year of age for children. The dinner buffet will be open noon to 7 p.m. with baked ham, roast beef, fried chicken, potatoes, vegetables and desserts. It’s $12.99, $11.99 for seniors, $1 per year of age for children.

•Amish Acres in Nappanee has a carryout option with baked ham, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, vegetable, coleslaw, bread with apple butter and pie. Pizza back on menu at Hawkins farm

This week, the Hawkins Family Farm in North Manchester will fire up its outdoor brick oven for the return of “Fridays on the Farm.”

Enjoy handmade pizzas made from locally sourced ingredients, including tomatoes, basil, pepperoni and sausage that are produced on the Hawkins farm. They also use Swissland Cheese from Berne and flour from Greenfield Mills in Howe.

The menu will change weekly but will typically include a margherita, a meat version and another pizza, while they last.

The 10-inch pizzas ($7 to $10) will be served in carryout boxes. You can eat them picnic-style on the farm, but you must bring your own chairs or blankets, beverages, plates, napkins and garbage bags.

The pizzas will be available 5 to 8 p.m. most Fridays through the summer.

Vince’s offers prom specials

Vince’s, 10460 Maysville Road, is offering a prom dinner special through May.

Each meal is $25, which includes tax and gratuity.
