Favorite teacher: Mrs. Beebe in fourth grade and Mr. Hall in sixth grade. Mrs. Beebe made school fun, and Mr. Hall saw something in me and challenged me to become a better student. It was in his class that I started to realize how much I enjoyed history.
Favorite class in school: History
Favorite teaching memory: Having students get excited about history. Sometimes students like to bring items from home to share with everyone. You can see the excitement on their face when they tell you about it.
Do you think teacher evaluations should be tied to student test scores?
Evaluations should include the overall picture of what a teacher does, which often goes beyond testing.

Reason for nomination: Mr. Green was an extremely efficient, knowledgeable, interesting and passionate teacher. His interest in history was inspiring, his class was enjoyable even during daily lecture, and he did an outstanding job of preparing all of us who had him for our future classes. Its been three years since Ive graduated from the Mr. Green experience, and I continue to appreciate all that he taught me in one school year.
