Indiana coach Bill Lynch addressed the team's schedule during the Big Ten teleconference Tuesday. The Hoosiers defeated Towson 51-17 Thursday, but don't play again until Sept. 18 at Western Kentucky.
"It's a unique situation for us since we opened on a Thursday night and have the bye week this week. It's 16 days from our opener to our second game. I've never been through that before," Lynch said. "We're certainly trying to manage it this week with our practice tempo and certainly our conditioning. It will be a while since we play again, but we'll have the opportunity to know about Western Kentucky and their new staff with their football team by the time we get in and prep for them."
On the injury front, Lynch said the Hoosiers will hold wide receiver Tandon Doss out through this week and then start up again Monday. Doss did not play in the opener because of a groin injury.
"That was the plan all along," Lynch said.
