2 teens held after lunchroom fight

Two South Side High School students were arrested Tuesday after a fight broke out during lunchtime, Fort Wayne police said.

The fight erupted over accusations some students had been cutting in line, a report said.

Pushing and shoving ensued until school resource officers broke up the fight. One teen then admitted he had a knife in his backpack, the report said.

A 16-year-old was charged with battery, disorderly conduct and possession of a knife on school property. A 15-year-old was charged with battery and disorderly conduct. Both boys were taken to the Allen County Juvenile Center.
