2 arrested on cocaine-dealing charges

A Fort Wayne man and woman on parole on drug charges were arrested Wednesday, accused of selling crack cocaine.

City police stopped John A. Bridges and Kim Wattley at California Avenue and Rivermet Drive about noon and reported finding 8 grams of crack and $1,200 in cash.

After searching their residence in the 1700 block of California, police reported finding another 8 grams of crack cocaine and an additional $1,600 in cash.

Bridges, 56, was charged with two counts of dealing cocaine and one count of possession. His bond was set at $102,500.

Wattley, 52, was charged with one count of dealing cocaine. Her bond was set at $50,000.

Each had sold drugs to a police officer in the last month, according to a written statement from the Fort Wayne Police Department.

It said Bridges was on federal parole on prior dealing and firearms charges and that Wattley was on state parole on possession of cocaine.
