Recruit ready

Bishop Dwenger senior offensive/defensive lineman Tony Springmann confirmed he will be playing Friday when the Class 4A Saints (2-0) play host to 2-0 North Side.

The 6-foot-7, 268-pound Notre Dame recruit has missed the first two games because of a concussion he suffered in practice before the season opener.

Dwenger has fared pretty well in his absence, beating South Side 44-13 and Concordia 59-7.
