Shooter's Comments: PAWS to Read is a program at the Allen County Library that helps new readers or children who are struggling with their reading. I have been wanting to cover this as a daily for the paper and shoot a video for some time now and had to opportunity to catch up with Oskar and his handler Eleanor Maurer.

I enjoyed watching the children relax around Oskar and work on their reading. Some children are regulars and are coming along with their reading skills.

Editor's Note: I'm glad Cathie had a chance to make a video to go with this photo, too. You really get a great sense of what the program is like and how it helps kids.
