The opponent's view

Here's what Towson coach Rob Ambrose had to say about Indiana during a teleconference Monday.

"They have one of the best offenses in BCS football right now," he said. "Across the board, I can't find a defense that stopped them consistently on film anywhere. That speaks very well of coach (Bill) Lynch and what he has done."

Towson played at Northwestern in the 2009 opener, a game the Tigers lost 47-14.

"You have to get over the shock factor," Ambrose said. "When we went to Northwestern, it took us a half to realize the football field was actually 120 yards long and 53 1/3 wide. After we settled down, we played some football. After doing that, our kids are excited to prove they are ready to compete against that kind of competition from the start of the game, not halftime."
