Quarterback Ben Chappell and linebacker Tyler Replogle are the team captains.

"We vote on it by the team and it was overwhelming. That's a good feeling," IU coach Bill Lynch said.

Last year, the Hoosiers went with rotating captains for each game, and then designated season captains at the end of the year. Indiana will elect two game captains each week to join Replogle and Chappell.

"We're really doing both this year. I told the guys we will vote on team captains, and then the leadership council will vote game captains each week," Lynch said. "Ben and Tyler will walk out there each week, and then they will have a couple of others with them."
