SAC
Harding (0-1) at North Side (1-0): The Hawks were undone by what their coach, Sherwood Haydock, called some fluke plays in a 24-6 loss to Wayne, while the Redskins looked impressive in a 35-7 win over Concordia. The talent is still there for Harding, which had eight turnovers, and apparently it is there as well for North Side.

Woodlan (0-1) at New Haven (1-0): The Warriors gave up 457 rushing yards in a 52-13 loss last week to Bellmont. The Bulldogs got a huge game from running back TeVaughn Hurse (341 yards rushing) in a 31-7 win over Heritage. Woodlan will have to shore up its run defense or Hurse and the Bulldogs could have another big game.
ACAC
Indy Northwest (1-0) at Adams Central (1-0): The Jets havent played a Class 4A opponent since losing to Delta 20-13 in the 1996 season opener. The Pioneers won only one game a year ago, but opened 2010 with a solid 27-14 win against Muncie Central. Adams Central, which won two of three to end 2009, continued that momentum with a 29-7 win last week against Blackford.
NECC
Eastside (0-1) at West Noble (0-1): Opening night wasnt kind to either team, with the Blazers losing 42-21 to Garrett and the Chargers falling hard to Angola, 41-6. Eastside won a tough defensive battle with West Noble in 2009, so will there be a repeat of that in terms of outcome and offensive output?
Region
Columbia City (1-0) at Whitko (1-0): This Whitley County rivalry gets renewed for the first time in six years with both teams opening their seasons with a win, Columbia City over Warsaw 35-16 and Whitko over Wawasee 20-0. It will be a test of the Eagles dangerous offense against the Wildcats gritty defense.
