Carroll girls score 11 against Norwell

Tori Minnich, Hanna Kroskie, Brooke Bishir and Olivia Knispel each scored two goals as the Carroll girls soccer team went on the road and defeated Norwell 11-2 on Wednesday.

The Chargers mounted a 6-0 lead by halftime.

Norwell’s goalkeepers still came out of the match with 16 saves.

Boys tennis

CARROLL 5, BISHOP DWENGER 0: Billy Finger won at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-4, over Luke Welch. The best match came at No. 2 singles, where Luke Garrison defeated Nathan Fenker 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 at Concordia.

EAST NOBLE 3, ANGOLA 2: The Knights’ Kyle Johnson defeated Brian Bienz 6-1, 7-5 at No. 1 singles. East Noble’s No. 1 doubles team of Jeremy Mertz and Quinton Howell beat Justin Lemont and Sawyer Lehman 6-1, 6-1.

NORWELL 5, SOUTH ADAMS 0: The visiting Knights’ No. 2 player, Kyle Isch, won 6-2, 6-7 (6-8), 6-2 against Mark Muselman. Tanner Bowen won at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-2 against Reid Zurcher.

DEKALB 3, NORTHROP 2: Northrop won at Nos. 1 and 2 singles, getting wins from Yanni Stavretis and Sam Oren, but that was it.

Volleyball

CARROLL 3, SNIDER 0: Bree Anderson and Lauren Prachar both had seven kills for the Chargers, who won 25-20, 25-22, 25-14 on the road. Jenna Spadafora had 14 assists and three aces. The Panthers’ Akilah Sims had seven kills.
