Dwenger defense missing 2

The Bishop Dwenger defense will be missing two of its big guys for Friday's game against Concordia.

Seniors Tony Springmann (defensive end) and Cal Weller (defensive tackle) will be out with injuries, according to coach Chris Svarczkopf.

The 6-foot-7, 268-pound Springmann, a Notre Dame recruit, is expected to miss his second straight game after suffering a concussion in practice last week.

The 6-2, 191-pound Weller was injured in the 44-13 win over South Side last Friday, and Svarczkopf said Weller won't be available until the postseason in October.
