Former major leaguer Jacque Jones has been named the hitting coach for the Fort Wayne TinCaps.
Jones had a .The TinCaps' magic number remained at four after losing to Lansing 8-5 Tuesday.
Any combination of Fort Wane wins and Lansing losses equaling or exceeding four for the rest of the year clinches a playoff spot for the TinCaps.
The number also takes into account Fort Wayne's tie-breaker edge over the Lugnuts. The TinCaps won the season series 15-6.
