Another state title for Bellmont volleyball?

The 2007 Bellmont volleyball team had senior experience and a couple of talented freshmen. It sounds a lot like the 2010 version.

The Braves three years ago won the Class 3A state championship, and these Braves have the potential with seniors Alex Fuelling, Chelsea Colclasure, Madison Schultz and Emily Pierce, along with freshman twins Holly and Bailee Hankenson.

"If I compare the two teams (we are similar) because the seniors are very driven, like they were in 2007," Bellmont coach Craig Krull said. "We have those compatible parts that all fit together. Offensively weapons we are the same as '07, and we just have to find kids getting into their roles. But we are very comparable to the same team when we won in '07. The main thing is we are all very dedicated to that one goal. That's the main thing that all 12 kids on the team are looking at the same thing."

Fuelling and Colclasure were freshman contributors to the 2007 team.

"We do have different players, and we are a different team than when I was a freshman but I do think we do have a very good chance of going (to state)," Fuelling said.
