Snider senior soccer player fine

The last Liv Borkenstein was seen Saturday, she was being carted off a soccer field at Hefner Fields on a stretcher to an awaiting ambulance.

Injured in a 4-2 win over Penn, the Snider senior was checked out and just had some injured ribs and returned to action Tuesday in an 8-0 win over South Side where she scored a goal and had two assists.

"I'm back playing again," Borkenstein said in a Facebook message. "I refuse to sit on an injury. I had enough of that last year."

Borkenstein also confirmed she committed in January to play college soccer at Memphis next season.

The Panthers have been the state runner-up the past two seasons.
