Berklee College of Music announces that Tyler Scott of Fort Wayne has earned placement on the Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2011 academic year.Andrew Bourne was chosen as the 2011-2012 Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, IPFW recently announced.
The $26,000 scholarship will allow Bourne, an engineering student working toward a Master of Science in technology, to study abroad and complete a service project within an impoverished community.
He will plan his service project throughout the next year and will focus on implementing an environmental awareness project, literacy program, or agricultural project.
The scholarship aims to further international understanding and improve relations among people of different countries and regions. While abroad, scholars serve as goodwill ambassadors to the host country and give presentations about their homelands to Rotary clubs and other groups.
