The TinCaps lowered their magic number to seven by beating Lansing 3-1 Sunday. Any combination of Fort Wane wins and Lansing losses equaling or exceeding nine for the rest of the year clinches a playoff spot for the TinCaps.

"It's a ton of fun," TinCaps left fielder Wande Olabisi said. "We're all trying to put it together. We have some new guys and we have guys who have been here all year. We're all just trying to get to the playoffs and win it."
