Allen Marona has been in Eugene and Portland since getting picked by San Diego in the 37th round of this year's draft.

He has now landed in Fort Wayne, and made a contribution on the mound in his Parkview Field debut. Marona pitched two scoreless relief innings to pick up the victory in a 3-1 TinCaps win against Lansing on Sunday.

Marona appeared in 14 games in Eugene, San Diego's rookie league team. He had an 0-2 record with four saves and a 1.53 ERA. He saw time in two games in Portland, San Diego's triple A affiliate. He had a 0-0 record with a 3.00 ERA.

Marona joined the TinCaps on Aug. 14. Sunday marked his third appearance with the team. He was aided by a double play to get out of a jam in the seventh.

"It's awesome," Marona said. "It's real nice to join this team."
