Getting A Shot

Camera: NIKON D2Hs

Shutter: 1/60 s

Aperture: f/2.8

Exposure Setting: Manual (Pattern Metering)

ISO: 640

Strobe Flash: Flash Did Fire

Lens Focal Length: 21mm

White Balance: Auto

Editor's Note: I love how this picture really tells the story. The child is wiping a tear away while getting a high-five after his shots. Amanda is doing a great job of comforting him. The multiple bandaids show that he had more than one back-to-school shot.

On a more technical note, Sam has done a good job of balancing three different colors of light. There are probably overhead lights (green), I know I see some window light on the left (bluish), and his strobe (mostly neutral, but if it's bounced, it can pick up color from the walls and ceiling).
