Jennifer L. Martin has been promoted to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Air Force.

Martin is the Headquarters Air Combat Command commercial law chief assigned to the 633d Air Base Wing at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. She has served in the military for 18 years.

Martin is the daughter of James and Mary Grimm of Auburn. She graduated in 1984 from DeKalb High School, Waterloo, and received her doctor of laws degree in 1991 from Syracuse University College of Law, Syracuse, N.Y. In 2004, Martin earned a master of law degree from George Washington University Law School, Washington, D.C.
