Shutting them down

The TinCaps collected their fourth shutout of the season, topping Burlington 3-0 Sunday. The Bees had 10 hits, but left 11 batters on base.

Pedro Hernandez, Robert Poutier, Miles Mikolas and Nick Schumacher combined to shut down Burlington. Hernandez went five innings, giving up six hits. Poutier threw the next two innings, giving up one hit. Mikolas got out of a bases loaded jam in the eighth while Schumacher got his 21st save of the season.
