Air Force Airman Nathaniel D. Hicks graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Hicks is the son of Robert Hicks of Wolcottville. He graduated in 2005 from Lakeland High School, LaGrange, and received a bachelor's degree in 2010 from Ball State University, Muncie.
