Service, calling set for landmarks architect Gerardot

Services are set for Philip L. Gerardot, 49, of Fort Wayne, who died Tuesday at Parkview North Hospital.

The Fort Wayne native designed area landmarks such as Memorial Stadium, the DuPont branch library, and Parkview Huntington Hospital when he was a partner at Moake Park Group & Associates, according to his obituary.

He was project manager at W.A. Sheets & Sons, and was in charge of the Grand Wayne Center and downtown library expansions, it said.

A Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling is also from 2 to 9 p.m. today at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with a Rosary service at 8 p.m.

The family requests donations to the IU Simon Cancer Center for Thoracic Oncology Program or to Masses.
