Ryan J. McBride of LaGrange, a member of the 460th Chemical Company of the National Guard in Augusta, Mich., has been awarded the 631st Troop Command Battalion Coin of Excellence.Pfc.Tuesday

Hunter, Robert N.

Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Robert N. Hunter has returned to the U.S. after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.Tuesday

Army 1st Lt. Nick P. Baldwin has arrived for duty at the U.S. Army Recruiting Station at the Dakota District, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Baldwin, an operations officer for the Dakota district, is assigned to the Minneapolis Army Recruiting Battalion. The first lieutenant has served in the military for three years.

He is the son of Rick A. and Nancy V. Baldwin of Defiance, Ohio.

Baldwin graduated in 1999 from Ayersville High School, Defiance, and received a bachelor's degree in 2004 from Bowling Green State University.
