Making strides

Edinson Rincon has a team-leading 29 errors. But the TinCaps third baseman has played considerably better at the position in the last two or three homestands. Instead of waiting for a hop, Rincon has been more aggressive going after ground balls.

"A lot has to do with his positioning," TinCaps manager Jose Flores said after Fort Wayne's 4-3 loss to South Bend Sunday. "Earlier in the year, he was in between, either too back or not enough in or enough back. He's found his area where he's more comfortable."
