Monday was the first official day of summer, even if the temps signaled it far earlier. That had me thinking of capris and shorts and adorning bare ankles in the hot summer months. With that, I present a neutral toned ankle bracelet I made last summer. I got hooked on ankle bracelets because of local jewelry artist Jackie Smith of "Reflections of You" jewelry (you can find her on Facebook) a few years ago. I have bought a few ankle bracelets from Jackie and last year, after getting into beading myself, decided to make this one. It's black and white so I can wear it with just about anything. -- Joyce

I know the colors are kind of strange, but I'm just using up yarn as I come to it!

This week's pattern is a cloth that starts out as a ten-stitch-wide square and ends up ten inches across. Plus, it's all garter stitch, so it's perfect for mindless summer knitting. -- Lara
