Art and Animals June 26, 2010, noon-6 p.m., 317 Blue Jacket Run in beautiful Fallen Timbers addition.

Fun for those who love art and animals! This is an outdoor benefit by local artists to show and sell art to promote the protection and adoption of animals.

A portion of art sales will be donated to three local animal welfare organizations that will be present at the event: Go Cats Go (noon-2 p.m.), Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control (2-4 p.m.) and H.O.P.E. for Animals (4-6 p.m.) Available art is not limited to animal motifs – it's just great art! Visit with adoptable animals from each organization and purchase creative sketches, paintings, jewelry and sculptures to support the cause. A rain date has been set for June 27th.
