The sock yarn really shows off the shaping.

If I thought I looked strange taking photos of my hand (again) last week, let's just say I was happy not to run into too many people in the hall when I was carrying my fashion doll to the studio. - Lara

Egyptian coil gone awry

For Christmas 2009, I wanted to make a good friend a bracelet. She liked a bracelet I'd made myself with a handmade, lampwork bead, so I went ahead and custom ordered a bead from Jennifer Cameron of Glass Addictions. I ended up buying two of three beads she made at my request. Then, I thought I'd do something special and do a chain of Egyptian coils. My effort = fail, but I did eventually come up with a design that I was happy to give as a gift.
